Why Viagra Isn\u2019t Always Covered<\/h2>\n

Many insurance providers consider Viagra a lifestyle drug<\/strong>, meaning it’s not deemed medically necessary in the way insulin or blood pressure meds are. This is especially true if the ED isn’t linked to a condition like diabetes, prostate surgery, or vascular disease.<\/p>\n

Unless your doctor clearly codes ED as a symptom of a medical disorder<\/strong>, your insurer may deny coverage<\/strong> based on medical necessity standards.<\/p>\n

Medicare, Medicaid, and Viagra<\/h2>\n
